John Evert Named USOC 2009 Development Coach of the Year!

ETA Academy Director, John Evert, will be honored at this year’s U.S. Open as the United States Olympic Committee 2009 Development Coach of the Year. Each National Governing Body selects one person from their country to receive this prestigious award and Evert is the USTA’s choice for 2009. He joins an elite group of Americans recognized for their contribution toward the development of the country’s tennis athletes. Past recipients include Paul Annacone, Nick Bollettiere, Brad Gilbert, Billie Jean King, Dennis Van der Meer and Patrick McEnroe. Evert will be presented with his plaque and officially recognized at the Tennis Teacher’s Conference in New York during the 2010 US Open Championships.
